Major boost as Jake Allen back with Scorpions in 2020

HEB Scunthorpe Scorpions’ skipper Jake Allen will return for another season in the colours of the club in 2020.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey made the announcement regarding the Australian’s return during the National League Riders’ Championship at the Eddie Wright Raceway yesterday (Sunday).

Allen needs no introduction to Scunthorpe fans, having become a firm favourite with supporters since joining the club in August 2017.

The Somerset asset loves racing around the Eddie Wright Raceway and was very keen to return to Scunthorpe.

Godfrey says: “I’m delighted to have Jake Allen back at Scunthorpe for another season. It’s like hand in glove – he’s a natural fit for our club.

“Jake has been a good captain this year and he’s a good rider to have around.

“He’s a quality rider, who will be pushing hard for the No 1 spot with the Scorpions next season.

“I’m extremely pleased with how our team building has been progressing, and we will have more exciting news to come in the next few weeks.”
