HEB WEALTH AND EMPLOYEE BENEFITS are the new title sponsors of Scunthorpe Scorpions in 2019.

The team will take to the track at Sheffield on Sunday in their first fixture of the season known as the ‘HEB Scunthorpe Scorpions’.

A very familiar name is behind the sponsorship deal – Joe Henderson.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “I can’t say enough about Joe Henderson – I don’t know where Scunthorpe Speedway would be without his support of the club over the years. He’s been such a huge supporter of our club.

“He sold Henderson Insurance to Aon a couple of years ago. But he’s continuing his sponsorship of the Scorpions, which dates right back to 2007, through HEB Wealth And Employee Benefits, which are another of Joe’s very successful companies.

“We will take every chance to promote the name of HEB in the media at every opportunity. The name of Henderson Insurance became synonymous with the club, and we will ensure that the same happens with HEB – the HEB Scunthorpe Scorpions does trip off the tongue very nicely.

“With a bit of luck, we can have a good year and really get the name of HEB out there.”

HEB are a financial planning company, concentrating on wealth and employee benefits. Their office is based in Leeds.
