HEB Scunthorpe Scorpions commence a spell of three away meetings in eight days, with a visit over the Scottish border to Glasgow tonight (Saturday, 7pm).

Scorpions are also in action at Somerset (Wednesday) and local rivals Sheffield (a week on Sunday).

The next home action is not until Friday, May 7th (7.30pm), when Scorpions entertain Glasgow at the Eddie Wright Raceway.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Having lost a home meeting to Somerset, we need to win one of these three away meetings to restore parity.”

Scorpions’ skipper Jake Allen is still ruled out with a shoulder injury for tonight, and Cameron Heeps comes in as a guest replacement. Jack Smith will cover for the absence of Josh Bailey, still missing after requesting time out from the sport.

Godfrey added: “I think we’ve chosen our guests wisely for Glasgow, as Cameron Heeps has been banging in the points for both Edinburgh and Ipswich, while Jack Smith rode for Glasgow a couple of years ago, so has plenty of experience of the track.”

HEB Scorpions’ line-up for tonight: 1. Josh Auty, 2. Danny Ayres (pictured), 3. Jason Garrity, 4. Stefan Nielsen, 5. Cameron Heeps (guest), 6. Ryan Kinsley, 7. Jack Smith (guest).
